Everything is Project Management: Make complexity work for you

Your career (and life!) are full of projects. So you may as well get very good at running them. Some projects are hard because they are badly designed or you don't have the right help. But many are hard because they are important.

This session explores how to approach complex legal, cross-functional, cross-border projects with more clarity, confidence and structure. Rather than hiding from complexity or pretending it is not there, we will look at how to embrace it, map it, and manage it in a way that helps important ideas succeed. Through a mix of practical examples, discussion and reflection, participants will change their mindset towards complex projects, understand the humans involved in a project, create shared goals, invite co-design, and maintain momentum through communication and visible progress.

The session will also encourage participants to think more broadly about project management as a life skill — one that applies not only to legal transformation at work, but also to the meaningful projects we carry in our personal lives and the way we set ourselves up for the rest of the year.

The work is complex because the work is meaningful. Don’t run from the complexity. Learn to lead it.
