When Legal Tech Improves Wellbeing

In‑house legal teams are under increasing pressure to deliver faster, higher‑quality outcomes with limited capacity. This session explores how legal technology, when implemented thoughtfully, can improve efficiency while also supporting wellbeing and team experience. Drawing on Transport for NSW’s approach to legal technology implementation, the session will focus on reducing friction in everyday legal work, embedding adoption through mindset and change management, and measuring success beyond traditional productivity metrics. Attendees will gain practical insights from a real‑world case study demonstrating how legal technology improved both the way legal teams worked and their wellbeing.

3 Key Learnings

  1. Legal technology delivers its greatest value when it reduces friction and improves wellbeing.
  2. Adoption succeeds when leaders focus on mindset, trust and change — not just technology.
  3. Tracking wellbeing and experience alongside efficiency creates healthier, higher‑performing teams.
